PC-Engine RGB / Composite AV Module

Give your PC-Engine a clean, versatile video output while preserving the original character of its picture.

This compact module plugs directly into the PC-Engine expansion port and provides RGB or composite video output, selectable with a convenient switch.

Analogue RGB with a specially tuned palette

Unlike simple RGB output solutions, this module uses a fully analogue video circuit with a modified RGB palette, specifically designed to reproduce colours that are closer to the original PC-Engine composite-video appearance.

The result combines the sharpness and clarity of RGB with a colour rendition that retains more of the character of the original composite output.

Mega Drive 2-compatible AV connection

Video and audio are provided through a Mini-DIN 9 connector compatible with standard Mega Drive 2 AV cables. This makes it easy to connect the PC-Engine to an RGB-compatible display or to existing AV equipment without requiring a proprietary cable.

Turbo EverDrive Pro and stereo CD audio

The module is fully compatible with the Turbo EverDrive Pro and can carry the stereo CD audio generated by the Turbo EverDrive Pro through its AV output.

Designed for safe installation

The connector and module are mechanically designed to prevent incorrect insertion, helping protect the console and the module from accidental connection in the wrong orientation.
